Maintenance & Services

Accu-Line Brake & Wheel is committed to doing what it takes to make sure that your car works safely and reliably—all the time.

Oil Change
For most vehicles, changing the oil every 3–5,000 miles is one of the most cost effective ways to keep your engine free of problems.

"I'm not your typical oil change shop. What you get at Accu-Line is a complete vehicle inspection. I'll take your wheels off; I'll check your brakes; I'll check your underbody, suspension, belts; top off all your fluids, check the air in your tires and tell you what you need and what you don't need to make your vehicle as safe as possible."
~ Craig Raynor, owner, Accu-Line Brake & Wheel

Air & Fuel Filter Replacement
Intervals vary depending on the manufacturer, but air filters should be replaced at least every 20,000 miles or once a year, whichever comes first. You’ll want to replace your air filter more often if you’re doing a lot of towing or drive in extremely dusty situations. We also recommend replacing the fuel filter at least once a year, even if you don’t drive 20,000 miles.

Tire sales, Rotation, Balancing & Inflation
Did you know that some tire companies will not honor a warranty if the tires are not rotated regularly? That’s because your front and rear tires wear much differently. Rotating tires every 8,000 miles will dramatically extend the life of your tires.

A tire out of balance wears quickly and causes vibration throughout the vehicle. Properly inflating your tires is also critical to ride quality, tire wear, and fuel economy—and most importantly your driving safety.

As an authorized distributor, Accu-Line Brake & Wheel carries a complete line of Cooper Tires. Made in the USA

Alignment
When your vehicle is out of alignment, the tires wear faster and will affect gas mileage. A vehicle should be aligned every 12,000 miles, or once a year, and Accu-Line’s alignments are done by hand and are guaranteed for 12,000 miles or one year, whichever comes first.

Brake Inspection
Craig machining a brake cylinderBy having your brakes inspected regularly, you can avoid a costly brake job. If you wait until your brakes wear to “metal against metal,” you will have the added expense of new brake rotors and/or brake drums. We take great pride in the craftsmanship it takes to machine your brake parts and insure the safety of you and your car.

Extended Warranties
Accu-Line Brake & Wheel can honor most extended warranties. These warranties are offered to keep your vehicle in top running order, and your vehicle does not need to be broken down in order to use your warranty. We cannot honor a vehicle manufacturer’s New Car warranty, which must be redeemed through the dealership.

Check-Engine Light
A code has been stored on your vehicle’s control module. This is a sign that something is not right, usually with the emissions of your vehicle. Accu-Line will scan for these codes and make the necessary repairs.

Horse & Boat Trailers
Accu-Line specializes in comprehensive horse and boat trailer maintenance and repair. We also offer comprehensive brake service, rewiring and repair of lights, repacking of bearings, as well as spring and axle repairs.

Tune-Up
Regular tune-ups to replace spark plugs and other necessary ignition components not only help your vehicle to run better and smoother, but also help improve your gas mileage.

Timing Belts
Most vehicles that have four or six cylinders need to have their timing belts replaced at 60,000, 90,000 or 105,000 miles. If your vehicle has an interference motor ask us, because it’s especially critical to follow the replacement schedule: these vehicles will suffer more damage if the timing belt breaks.

Shocks & Struts
Worn shocks and struts can cause an uncomfortable ride and less vehicle control on all road surfaces. Replacing them at regular intervals will increase gas mileage and return your vehicle’s “new car” feeling. Many manufacturers recommend replacing shocks and/or struts every 50,000-miles.

Water Pumps
On older vehicles, the average life of a water pump is 100,000 miles. On most import vehicles, the water pump should be replaced when the timing belt is replaced, to avoid duplication of labor costs.

Coolant & other Fluids
We will closely follow your vehicle’s recommended maintenance schedule in flushing and replacing your car’s coolant, transmission fluid, transfer case fluid and differential fluids.

Engine & Transmission Replacement
Sometimes it’s necessary to replace your vehicle’s engine and/or transmission. There are several options available. You can choose new components that carry a complete warranty that covers all parts and labor (Ford now gives 3-year, 75,000-mile warranties on their new engines and transmissions); or you can choose rebuilt or used components. Accu-Line can help you choose quality engine and transmission replacements to fit your budget.
